- Detroit
- Parody of "Beat It" by Michael Jackson
- Music video ideas:
- Music video must show all notable images of Detroit - the gleaming and the dilapidated.
- When budget allows for an updated music videos, actors and dancers must dance on-location in front of known Detroit landmarks.
- Lyric ideas:
- The lyrics must describe the city's rise as a juggernaut of the automotive industry, then its peak in the 1950s, the decline from there (with mentions of the Packard Plant being "ground zero of the Rust Belt") and the fact that only 3 automotive plants remain in city limits.
- Also, the 2013 bankruptcy must be mentioned, as well as the rampant crime and the long response times (over 10 minutes, sometimes hours for emergency services to respond.)
- Mention how the Detroit's public school system is in horrific shape - rampant deferred maintenance, absent teachers, textbooks older than the students using them, being unable to take textbooks home, therefore can't do homework, etc.
- LYRICS:
Original Title: "ENG's Ideas, Inventions, and Innovations Journal"
This blog, started 3-15-2005, contains journal entries and also ideas, innovations, and inventions that come to mind.
Note: All personal entries that aren't the 3 I's will be labeled "(Personal Entry)" on the titles' ends.
My blog is now "BIG YES BOMB" because I found Jason Carter on Facebook one night and asked, "Are you...
...Elder Carter from Nagasaki?" His answer is the title today!
